  1. That's a great list! I'm pretty sure Margot sleeps more in her pack & play than anywhere else. We got an Arm's Reach co-sleeper (which is pretty much a bassinet that attaches to the side of the bed) but I'm guilty of just letting her sleep snuggled up next to me. It makes night feedings much easier-and thereby, makes mommy getting sleep easier! We have the Graco travel system, and it is AWESOME! Consider getting an extra car seat base if you have two cars-that way the car seat moves quickly and easily between them.

ALSO-if you have a local dollar tree-GREAT place to find lots of cheap little storage caddies for all the tiny things that will soon consume your home.

And, you might check with your hospital-most of them actually rent out the super fancy hospital grade breast pumps. UT rented us one for just $60/mo. It was critical while Margot was in the NICU, but once we got her home, I just didn't end up pumping the way I thought I was going to need to, and I'm glad we didn't invest in a home system that would just be gathering dust now.

  3. I had a really tough time registering for baby. Your list seems really comprehensive. Did you feel overwhelmed with the whole process as I did?

  4. Now that I've actually been to BabiesRus and Target to register, I can tell you, without a doubt, that it was terribly overwheling... Sure, I had my list, but when I actually got in there and could see all the products, it was severe sensory overload!
